Contra Costa, CA Real Estate

The cities that make up Contra Costa County are some of the most charming in the Bay Area, boasting quaint downtowns, long-running community festivals, and picture-perfect neighborhoods. You can enjoy the impressive array of shops, dining, and entertainment in Orinda’s Theatre Square, or do some luxury shopping in Walnut Creek. Year-round community events in Danville run the gamut from the annual Fourth of July parade, to downtown’s Hot Summer Nights, featuring vintage cars and live music, and the annual Christmas tree lighting.
Standing as a striking natural point in the county, Mt. Diablo and the surrounding state park offer acres of open space to explore, as miles of trails zig-zag the entire region. And while the area is home to quiet tree-lined streets and thriving neighborhoods, both the modernization of highways and BART keep the attractions of San Francisco close at hand.

The market has continued to prove that inventory is the key to sales. Available listed properties have remained constrained, and well cared for homes that are priced appropriately receive lots of attention, with serious buyers willing to stretch their budgets to successfully complete a purchase. With the constraints on foreign economies, there is less pressure from non-resident buyers, and although there is activity across all price ranges, the sweet spot seems to be in the starter to mid-level price points in most communities.
